How do you create an identity for a startup that bridges two very different worlds?
In the case of Dusty Robotics, the challenge was to create a distinct identity for a tech company breaking into the construction industry.
I worked closely with the company founders to concept and execute an identity that was both striking and non-threatening, while drawing on familiar visuals (colors, geometry) to those in the construction industry.

Voltage Coffee Supply is an online retailer with a loyal customer base, and a diversified approach that separates it from its competition. Creating an identity in a crowded online space was an exercise in being iconic and memorable but not being cliché. Inspiration for the final symbol was taken from the unique directional guidance that separates Voltage Coffee Supply from other retailers.

Kronos Bio is a new name in Biotech exploring oncology treatment, specifically focused on dysregulated transcription networks. Working with a copywriter, we ideated and presented various concepts for their breakout campaign.

Build a cherished household brand in a hotly contested consumer market (Children’s toys).
As lead designer at Tegu, I worked directly with the founders to craft a consistent, beautiful, and appropriate face for the brand. We prioritized whimsy, gender neutrality, as well as a subtle nod to our environmentally-friendly priority without being overly preachy.
Our positioning and platform was centered around the basic concept that Play is Good, and that Freeing Play is Best. I crafted an identity, built brand guidelines, and executed or managed every single piece of branded material to pass through our factory, from blocks to packaging, videos to social media.
